While the Boys varsity basketball team’s season has come to an end, they have had an incredible season. The boys’ basketball team’s record is 20-3 for the season. They are 10-0 in the Ohio Capital Conference and will be in the final round to claim the tournament title. Not only this but it is their best record season since 1979-1980.

The boys team has done an incredible job with their sportsmanship. They have created strong connections with one another and it has helped them become a true team. Each member of both teams help give each other motivation and empowerment. They take support to another level. They always help each other out and make sure they each are successful in the game and outside. They all also make sure even when they are off the court they are good friends and teammates with one another.

“It’s really tight and during practice we are very competitive but we are all still friends in the end,” sophomore Cooper Shaw said.

John Feasel is the boys basketball coach. He has been a coach at Olentangy for 23 years. He has seen the team grow in ways and thinks it is what has helped out with their great season. These boys have worked hard and have not stopped one bit. They have put in the work and effort and it has paid off.

“This is the closest team we’ve had in years and they are all working together. They are all selfless and care about winning,” Feasel said.

This team has made sure they have made a difference for each other. They want to make sure others know they not only want to win, but they also want to do it the right way. Everybody not on the team has seen the work this team has put in and can see what they want to accomplish.
