ViewSonic is an interactive display which arrived in all of the classrooms in December of 2025, and they replaced projectors. By the end of January 2025, all classrooms will be required to use the new technology, this means the ViewSonic will be a mandatory tool for teachers in the future.
“I think it is bulky and huge in my room, and when I take notes, my iPad does not connect properly,” Mackenzie Devolve said. “I like it, but it is going to take some time to get used to it.”
Devolve, a high school geometry and pre-calculus teacher who used a projector, now uses the Viewsonic. When she connects her iPad to the projector, it works better than the Viewsonic, which takes multiple tries and is not as quick as she would like.
“The Viewsonic is big for my room, but I can wheel it around my two classrooms.” Jessica Roads, a high school journalism and etymology teacher, said. “With the project, I had always had to connect a wire to my MacBook, but with the Viewsonic, I can just screen share it and move around the classroom when I teach.”
“It serves the same purpose as the project, but it is clear and high-tech. Roads said. “I can probably do more with it than a projector, but I just don’t know all of the functions. ”
