Back-to-school season is a time full of fun and excitement, but it can also be stressful. So, here is a guide on how to plan and execute the perfect fall-themed self-care night.

These first two steps are 100 percent optional, but can be perfect for starting the relaxation process, depending on the person.

Step one

Clean and tidy up your room or make your bed. This can take as much or as little time as you wish; whatever you want to reset your space.

Step two

If you’d like to move your body for stress relief, then pop on an at-home workout or yoga video and let the endorphins flow.

Step three

Now it is time to wash away the day with a shower, bubble bath or both. An everything shower entails shampoo and conditioner, followed by a hair mask, which sits in your hair while you exfoliate and shave (if you choose to). Of course, you wash your body twice if you feel a little bit extra. For the next option, it is all about ambiance when it comes to a relaxation bubble bath. Start with low lighting, then add fall-scented candles and instrumental music, or whatever music matches the vibe. In the water, you can toss in a bath bomb, Epsom salt, and even flower petals if you like. While your muscles relax, you can journal, read a book, or watch a fall movie or TV show.

Step four

Once you get out of the bath or shower, put on a cute PJs set, a fall pattern is ideal to feel extra cozy and comfortable.

Next, it is time to pamper your body with body oil or lotion and treat your face with skincare and a face mask. You can also pop in some heartless curls to ensure you wake up feeling as fabulous as when you went to sleep.

Step six

Now you can gather some cute fall snacks and a fun drink. Slice n Bake cookies are always a great option for your favorite salty or sweet treat.

Step seven

And to finish off, hop into bed with plenty of blankets. Then read a book, watch a fall movie or your favorite episode of a fall show. Some great ones are Pretty Little Liars, Gilmore Girls and The Vampire Diaries. While you watch you can scroll through Pinterest, journal, do a manicure or color a cute fall coloring page; while you munch on those snacks, of course.

Take a night to relax and reset during a stressful time, and lean into the best parts with the help of this guide. Wishing you a happy back-to-school season.
