“CLUE: Onstage” will be performed by the OHS theater troop on Oct. 9, Oct. 11, and Oct. 12. The show features loud gasps, comedic moments, and the perfect who-done-it mystery. The cast and crew spend almost everyday after school together, as they prepare for the show dates. The show started rehearsals at the beginning of September, as the production had a tight turnaround. The troop packed 27 rehearsals into a two-month period. With hours of rehearsals, the group grew close.
“‘CLUE’ has been one of my favorite productions to do. I love how closely the cast works together and how we have to come together to make the story work. Yet, we have these super individualistic characters that are so hilariously dramatic,” Sydney Johns, a senior actress, said. “Being Mrs. White might be my favorite role, and I am so grateful to have these people with me to work alongside.”
The show features the classic six-color themed characters: Mr. Green, Mr. Plum, Colonel Mustard, Ms. Sacrelet, Mrs. White, and Mrs. Peacock. These characters are accompanied by the Newcaster, Cook, Mortarist, Singing Telegram girl, Cop, Agents, Mr. Body, and Yuvett; however, the show is led by the English butler, Wadsworth. Camden Brown, who stars as Wadsworth, has fully taken on the role of the fancy British butler.
“The ending is my favorite part of the show, but you will have to come to see it,” Junior Brown said.
As students prep for tech-week, the crew finishes props, sets and cues. Logan Wolford is the new Student Technical Director. Wolford’s job is to help manage and organize tech crews. This show features over a hundred cues which includes sounds, lights and run crew.
“I would say I’ve very much enjoyed putting together the prop TV while working with a friend,” Wolford said.

Stage Manager Nursh Elurchi calls the cues throughout the show. This is Elurchi’s first show as a stage manager, but not his first time in a leadership role. As he prepares to take on his new leadership role, Elurchi hopes for a successful show.
“My first time stage managing has been such a rewarding experience! I have learned so much already and am so honored to have been given the chance to expand my knowledge of theater,” said Elurchi.
“CLUE” will be onstage in early October, but after this show, the troop will immediately move on to their next project. At the end of October, OHS stagecraft classes will put on the haunted house, with the help of volunteer actors. This year, the program will take on complex and comedic stories as it prepares to perform “Almost, Maine” and “Hadestown” later in the season.

I enjoyed reading this article about the exciting play that may now be over, but I bet it was a fun watch with the photos. I personally enjoyed the mentions of basically everyone even the people behind the scenes.
