The Summer I Turned Pretty originated from a book series written by Jenny Han. It is about a love triangle between a girl named Belly and two brothe
rs, Jeremiah and Conrad, whom she has known her whole life. Belly’s family goes to Cousins Beach, where they stay at the brother’s house for the whole summer. She usually does not look forward to this much because she was always left out due to her being the youngest and only girl between her brother and the boys. However, this summer was different, the brothers noticed how much she had grown up over the past year. They had a sudden interest in her, and she knew this summer would be different from all the others. The newest season is scheduled to release on Prime Video on July 16.
Stranger Things has been since the first season came out in 2016. The show is about a group of kids from the 80s who meet Eleven, a character with unique and special powers. The kids also discover a supernatural world of weird creatures and crazy monsters. The show is loaded with aspects of conspiracies, romance and tragedies. But what makes the show so popular is the cast. With Millie Bobby-Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler and Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, the show is bound to be memorable. The show is scheduled to be released on Netflix on May 31.
My Life with the Walter Boys is centered around Jackie Howard, a girl born and raised in Manhattan, until she loses her family in a car accident. She was forced to move to a farm in Colorado with the family of her mom’s old best friend. The family consists of 10 boys and one girl. This major change in scenery forces her to adjust to her new circumstances. She falls for one of the brothers, Alex, who is a nerdy guy. But she always has a spot in her heart for Alex’s brother Cole, a jock who would give up anything for her. The new season is said to release sometime in 2025.
Ginny and Georgia is a series about Georgia Miller, a woman who had her daughter Ginny Miller when she was 15. Georgia had been abused by her parents when she was a child. She fled her home often to avoid dangerous situations and relationships. Ginny was never one to have a set group of friends, so her mom moved her around
the country often. The duo finds themselves always attracted to drama, whether a fight between themselves or the people around them. Season three is scheduled to release on Netflix on June 5. 2025.
Love island USA is a reality TV show showcasing a group of adults in their 20s who are searching for their soulmate, hosted by Ariana Maddix. The contestants stay in a villa together for around six to eight weeks. They cannot connect to the real world, which includes time. When the individuals start the show, they couple up based on who they think is attractive. Once everyone is coupled, they go on dates and compete in challenges that help them get to know each other. They add new “bombshells” to the villa throughout the show, which stir the couples. They have the individuals recouple; if someone is not chosen, they are kicked off the island. The viewers vote for their favorite couple at the end of their stay. The couple who wins each gets an envelope, one is empty and one has $100,000. The new season comes out on Netflix on June 3.
