Fall is here, and everyone is prepared for the spooky season. The time is also a special time for the Cincinnati-originated ice cream shop, Graeters. The business has a wide array of annual flavors and a rotation of seasonal flavors that customers always come back for. But for this season in particular, the store’s fall favorites are Elena’s Blueberry Pie, Pumpkin and Caramel Apple Pie.

The first, and most popular fall flavor, is Elena’s Blueberry Pie, which is my personal favorite. This flavor is a tribute to Elena Desserich, who lost her life to cancer. A portion of the proceeds made from this flavor goes to the Cure Starts Now foundation. Apart from the cause, this flavor is a delicious blueberry ice cream which includes real pieces of blueberry and pie crust that has a tasty crunch. I would rate this flavor 10 out of 10 scoops.

With the flavor pumpkin, it is a 50/50. Some people love it, and some people hate it. However, for the pumpkin lovers out there, it’s time to ditch the pumpkin spice latte, because this may be the perfect sweet treat they can’t miss. It’s a delicious mix of fall spices, and the classic ice cream taste which everyone loves. This flavor gets seven out of 10 scoops.

The Caramel Apple Pie ice cream has the perfect creamy texture that reminds customers of a delicious cinnamon roll or, as the name suggests, apple pie. Although quite similar in taste to pumpkin, the flavor includes bits of spiced apples and pieces of buttery pie crust. Both these factors give the flavor a unique twist. I rate this final flavor a five out of 10 scoops. Overall, the Graeter’s fall flavors are a fresh new start to the season and give a variety of autumn essences to the store.
