March Madness is the college basketball tournament at the end of the season where teams wait for and train for their whole season. It happens in March and there are 68 teams and there are four different regions that consist of 16 teams. There is also a women’s March Madness tournament as well. March Madness is also known for how people make brackets and lots of sports betting, this year between men’s and women’s there were 39 million brackets created.
People want a perfect bracket but the odds of having a perfect one is 9.22 quintillion, so most people lose their perfect bracket early and they just give up on it. A few websites and apps have created a Sweet 16 second chance bracket. It is a bracket which starts after the first round of games. You can still win money or enter tournaments designed for them. These brackets should not be a thing, they almost ruin the point of brackets. You get to watch how the teams play in the first round to help you decide how they play in the tournament.
There are also websites which don’t have sweet 16 brackets, so it is not fair some people do it and most do not have the opportunity. If people just had them for fun, it would be better, but people play for money. March Madness brackets are a fun tradition, but people take it too far to get a perfect bracket. Sometimes in life people don’t get second chances and March Madness should be one of those times. People also should only be able to do one men’s and one women’s bracket but is a story for a different time. People also should not be able to have more than one second chance bracket. It is not a second chance bracket; it is a fifth chance bracket. People need to be able to tolerate loss without a second chance.
