13 ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

1. Wear green, duh.

2. Pinch anyone who isn’t wearing green. Force others to celebrate with you.

3. Claim you’re Irish (even if you’re not) to validate your excitement in a seemingly trivial holiday.

4. Set a trap to catch the leprechaun who will inevitably visit your house on St. Patrick’s Day Eve.

5. Buy ALL the Party City decorations. Cover your house in cheap, green, sparkly banners. Your mom will love it.

6. Watch an hour long YouTube video of Irish step dancing. Absolutely fascinating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiyGb_EY4PU

7. After watching the above YouTube video, attempt to Irish step dance and fail miserably. At least you tried, right?

8. Continuing the spirit of Irish step dancing, curl your hair into those super tight curls. An entire can of hairspray will be necessary to maintain the style.

9. Travel to Chicago and attend the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in America. Bask in the green glow of the celebration.  Permission to print by AP Images
