With the homecoming dance right around the corner, the student council worked hard to produce a spirit week to get everyone excited. It will occur today through Sept. 14, the week before the dance. Monday through Friday, the days revolve around the main theme, Enchanted Forest, and the football game, USA.
To begin the week, the school will be under a “sleeping spell.” Pajamas, comfortable clothes, hoodies and slippers. A cozy way to kick off the week.
“I’m more excited for pj day on Monday because I love being comfy!” sophomore Ella Markus said.
Tourist Tuesday will follow the comfy clothes, with cameras, Hawaiian shirts, hats and fanny packs.
It is a western hoedown in the middle of the week! Wild Wednesday comes next. Cowboy hats, boots, jeans, belt and your prettiest pig. The Braves are heading south for a day.
Lumberjack is Thursday’s theme. Catch the students in flannel shirts and fall attire. Appropriate for the fall season.
Friday is USA Day. A day of red, white and blue, stars, stripes, glitter and Home of the Braves!
“I’m most excited for USA because we have a pep rally that is themed around it and a football game that evening,” junior Bella Starr said.
At the pep rally, games, competitions, dances and homecoming court challenges will take place for the whole school to watch. Students will come down the main gym after their third period and flood the bleachers.
