Noah Kahan is a folk singer who gained rapid popularity with his album “Stick Season” in 2022. Kahan has six albums which range in release times from 2019 to 2024, with even more to come.
The album “Live from Fenway Park” is a compilation of songs performed live from his Stick Season tour. As you listen to this album you can feel the emotion of the crowd and Kahan’s vocals. It transports you to the concert when you listen and adds even more of an effect when you wear headphones. You feel each lyric in your soul while you hear the emotion of his voice. I like how the crowd does not take over the whole album and you can hear him sing, but then you hear the crowd which adds to the enjoyment of it.
My three favorite songs on the album are: “Pain Is Cold Water,” “Everywhere, Everything” and “Dial Drunk.” “Pain Is Cold Water” is an unreleased song only played in shows, until it was presented in the new album. This song is very short but has some fantastic lyrics which give you the concert experience. The song also records Kahan’s unique introduction, which gives a nice touch to the feel of being there in person. “Everywhere, Everything” is one of those songs which make you feel free. In the album he collaborated on this song with Gracie Abrams. She came out as a surprise and sang along the whole time. I enjoyed the collaboration and the tune of their voices together. You feel like they sing to you. The last song I love is “Dial Drunk.” This song is on the original “Stick Season” album, and it is a popular song. It is the first on the album and the first in Kahan’s setlist on all concerts. It is an emotional song and ties together the overall variety of the album, so each listener can find a song they enjoy.
