On Sept. 14, 2024, this year’s Homecoming dance will be held in the aux gym, where the Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned. Beforehand there is a whole week of festivities planned. From Monday to Friday a spirit week will take place, then Friday night the Homecoming football game. The theme for this year’s dance is “An evening in the Enchanted Forest.
Homecoming is a time where students can show their school spirit and make memories to last a lifetime.
“My favorite part of homecoming is to get dressed up and see my friends at the dance,” sophomore Megan Westbrook said.
“Students can buy tickets in person or during all lunch periods and must pay with cash. Students can also go to the parent portal and purchase their tickets and guest tickets,” sophomore Jayli Chirpas said.
Chirpas is in the sophomore class cabinet, the group responsible for the theme and set up of the Homecoming dance.
Students are provided with snacks and drinks with the purchase of their tickets. The ‘24 Homecoming court consists of Lauren Petska, Ellie Pcionek, Kiana Trimble, Camryn Wenter, Ava Kline, Thaddius Gilbert, Sawyer Wilbanks, JJ Jah, Lucas Jackson and Jack Baerwaldt.
“This year’s spirit week themes are so fun; I can’t wait to get dressed up,” junior ChuChu Yokie said.
The themes include: sleeping spell on Monday, Tourist Tuesday, Wild West Wednesday, Lumberjack Day on Thursday and USA theme on Friday. Students can wear fun accessories for each theme.
Students can go and create their own experience to cherish forever. Be sure to buy your Homecoming ticket for an evening in the Enchanted Forest!
