Beat boredom this spring break
Everyone’s ideal spring break is different, whether it be lounging on the beach, skiing in the mountains or exploring a new city. Everyone can agree on one thing, though: no one wants to stay in town during spring break. Sometimes, you have to. Don’t worry, there are plenty of things to do around Columbus that beats sitting at home around spring break!
The Short North
If you want to take a trip downtown, you should stop at the Short North. There’s cute restaurants and cafes, and any shop you could think of, from antique to clothing stores. A favorite store among the locals is Homage, which makes shirts and apparel with sports and music logos. There are also beautiful murals scattered on the sides of buildings all throughout the Short North. You can stop for lunch at the North Market, where they have a variety of food from any nationality you can think of. After lunch, take a walk up the street and stop and get some famous rolled ice cream!
German Village
If you want the feel of another culture, you could spend a day in German Village. From the historical German architecture to the brick streets, it really feels like you are walking through Germany. German Village has activities for all, such as the Book Loft for avid readers to the world-famous Schmidt’s Bakery for foodies. The cream puffs are amazing!
Columbus Museum of Art
After you drive under the famous “Art” sculpture, you will arrive at the Columbus Art Museum. The Columbus Museum of Art has exhibits for all ages. From the children’s area to the fashion exhibit to Victorian paintings, this museum has it all. While you are there, you can also stop at the Schokko Art Cafe for a bite to eat or shop at the Museum Store. Whether the art is a painting, sculpture, photograph, or fashion design, the exhibits are guaranteed to intrigue you.

You did an awesome job incorporating the pictures and the text. I loved the idea that came to this article being written because I know I can truly connect with this articles purpose, destroying school vacation boredom. I do think, however, that you should not make it so opinionated and even come up with more ideas. I thought the fact that Jeni’s ice cream will ship ice cream to your house is very interesting and I had never seen this before. The news element of timeliness is not necessarily present, but it could be in the fact that Thanksgiving break is coming up and I may use this article as a reference.
