Christmas movie reiew
“Elf” (2003)
This Christmas comedy revolves around the story of a human named Buddy(Will Ferrell) who was raised as an elf in the north pole. After he learns birth parents gave him up, Buddy decides to travel out of the North Pole to New York City in search of his biological father to reconnect. This movie is hilarious for viewers of all ages and continues to be a Christmas favorite for those who love Will Ferrell and holiday spirit.
“Love Actually” (2003)- Warning: Rated R for sexuality, nudity and language.
This movie is a jumble of famous faces and boring story lines, not the modern classic others claim it to be. The web of stories involving over 12 characters takes place in London, England over a span of a month during the holiday season. The story follows couples through their connected lives. Despite the famous actors who appear throughout the film, the couples are for the most part, unappealing and the most well-known declaration-of-love scene of the movie between Andrew Lincoln’s character, and Keira Knightley’s character comes across more as creepy than romantic.
“A Christmas Story” (1983)- A Christmas classic taking place in the 40s in the midwest during
the holiday season. Ralphie, a 9-year-old boy, only wants a BB gun for Christmas yet, keeps getting told he will shoot his eye out. Ralphie’s story is light and entertaining, the perfect qualities for a holiday movie, and will keep viewers watching.
