Quick and Easy Thanksgiving Appetizers

Thanksgiving is a time for friends and family to gather around the table and eat everything in sight. Below are a few quick and easy popular Thanksgiving recipes whether you want to cook for a “Friendsgiving,” or help your family in the kitchen.

Crescent Rolls with Stuffed Cranberry


One can of cranberry sauce

One tube of refrigerated crescent rolls

One egg


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Separate the crescent rolls, and spread one-half tablespoon of cranberry sauce onto the thickest part of the dough, and roll the crescent roll over the cranberry sauce.
  3. Beat egg in a separate bowl
  4. Brush the top of the crescent rolls with the egg, and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.


Potato Slices


15 potatoes

One cup of Butter

Two tablespoons of salt

Green Onion (optional)

Sour Cream (optional)

Cheddar Cheese (optional)


  1. Heat up a pot of water, and place potatoes into the pot with a pinch of salt. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Let the potatoes boil for 10-15 minutes. Take out and let cool for five minutes.
  3. Melt butter in a separate bowl.
  4. Slice potatoes into thin slices and spread evenly in the bottom of a casserole dish. Brush on butter evenly and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Cover with tinfoil and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Uncover the dish and add cheese, sour cream, and green onion if desired. Cook for five minutes or until cheese is melted.

One tube of refrigerated crescent rolls

Eight hot dogs


  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Separate crescent rolls into individual triangles.
  3. Cut the hot dogs into fourths.
  4. Place hot dog slices onto the thicker end of the dough, and roll the crescent roll.
  5. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until dough is golden brown.


Garlic Cheese Bread


One loaf of Italian bread

Three half cups of grated cheddar

Three-fourths cup of grated mozzarella 

A half cup of grated Parmesan

One-fourth cup of butter

Four finely minced garlic cloves


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and cut the bread in slices.
  2. Melt the butter and mix with garlic. Spread the mixture onto both sides of each slice.
  3. Mix and place the cheeses onto one side of the slices.
  4. Place the bread slices onto greased baking sheets, and bake for 10 minutes or until slightly crispy.
